Goobycakes Bake Sale @ Everton Park

I love bake sales because that gives a sneak into what a bakery can do, rather than go head on with a full order and be in for a huge surprise. For Goobycakes you can say I have been a stalker on their IG for the longest time and finally decided to take the plunge with my first bag of paos and cookies.

Cheese paos as they are affectionately known as, come with a chewy mochi interior and a crusty exterior. These are sold piping hot and are baked just minutes before the scheduled timing.

The paos are indeed as addictive as described. $5 for 6 and these chewy babies pack so much flavour. I could nom on them consecutively.

Also, I had to give these chewy chocolate cookies a try.

$6 for 3 large pieces of chewy goodness. So good, please share them else the calorie overload will just be on you! Best eaten with chilled milk - gosh, no wonder Santa Claus loves this combination best.

One order led to another and I had to give their pesto paos a go too!

These are alot richer than the cheese and great for pesto fans. It felt like eating pesto from a jar - so good!

I mean why not since it was close to Christmas anyway. $25 for 6 and there were a number of her signatures featured except Plain Vanilla could have over pampered us with their moist cupcakes, these were not as outstanding as the paos or cookies.

~Invited Session~ 25 Degrees is an exciting burger, wine and liquor bar that originated from Los Angeles and in the most understated manner, it was the wine coloured wall paper interior that first caught my attention. Word has it that it is one of the places in Los Angeles that celebrities love being at. With both alfresco and indoor options, the swanky space sits up to 30 at a go. Business has been brisk and dinner it seems exudes a completely different charm altogether. From mouth watering burgers to stacked pancakes, there is something for everyone on their menu. 25 degrees as explained, is the temperature difference between a well done and raw burger. Heritage Weekend Buffet @ The Lobby Lounge, Shangri-la Singapore

~Invited Session~ Driven by a mission to preserve the heritage of hawker dishes, the team at Shangrila Singpaore has teamed up with a number of hawkers to present a showcase of curated local dishes and a series of Heritage Weekend PopUps. I clearly had more than enough to eat from the buffet line even before the 7 legends descended at my table. Special mention goes to their lor bak, achar and salted vegetable duck soup! With a choice of one hawker classic, diners get to enjoy hawker food in the comfort of the lounge and also a semi buffet of savoury and sweets. I had a taste of the legendary 7 that is available at the buffet and also ala carte. These dishes were selected based on their origins - which was the first restaurant to serve chilli crab?
