Pho Street Revisited @ Bedok Mall

DSC_0407

I randomly paid Pho Street at Bedok Mall a visit and I'd have to say I am surprised how many likeminded diners there are at 11ish am. Who else eats early lunches on weekends too?

Beef Pho ($8.90)

Without a doubt between chicken and beef, I am a beef fan. Especially for pho, the latter has a more robust flavour. That said, those in Singapore are definitely more localized and this is miles away from the sugar sweet grassy raw authentic version.

Mango Salad ($6.90)

Crunchy mango salad with a sprinkling of seafood. Their version is a tad sour with the vinaigrette dressing but still refreshing.

Snack Platter ($8.90)

Probably microwaved and that's how I ended up with chewy thai fish cakes, lukewarm satays and overfried spring rolls.

Vietnamese food here is very localised and probably not as authentic as Wrap and Roll even. A decent place for lunch to be settled, just not quite for taste.
