Ramen Champion’s newly minted full-service restaurant at The Central is home to popular Japanese Ramen brands like Tonkotsu Ikkyu, Menya Ryu, Buta God and Joshoken. At this full service restaurant, diners can tuck into a salad buffet with their mains and enjoy the gorgeous view of Singapore River too.

With every order of mains, diners can top up $4 to enjoy unlimited servings at the salad bar which offers over 20 dishes ranging from fresh greens to pasta salads and dessert! Mentaiko anything got me tempted; mentaiko sauce, mentaiko potato salad and pasta too!

Amongst the new dishes available here are:

Special Tonkotsu Pink Ramen ($15.80)

This is one of five ramen dishes which comes with eye-catching coloured broths. Pink ramen comes with a antioxidant packed blueberry and beetroot broth, a result of several hours of simmering.

Magma Ramen ($14.80)

Served in a hot stone bowl, this ramen offers customizable spice levels up to 20 and the chilli paste is made with six different kind of spices, capsicum peppers, Japanese black pepper, chilli padi, chilli oil, korean and japanese chilli flakes. I had the guts to take on level 15 and subsequently 20, which was in comparison a walk in the park since my tastebuds were already shocked at first slurp. Spicy but not tongue numbing nor sweat inducing, it was just shiok down to the last drop.

Salmon Tower Maki ($21.80) is every salmon sashimi and california roll fan's dream come through. A stack of california rolls draped in sashimi cubes, ikura, ebiko and shiso leaf.

Fisherman Don ($21.80)

Chirashi don with two types of broth yet the idea is to mix all of them together and down it like a hearty drink.Top marks for novelty and it actually tastes really good!

Crispy and addictive, the Mentai Gyoza ($6.80) features pork dumplings drizzled with mentaiko sauce and mayonnaise. The rule of thumb is still anything with mentaiko tastes great.

I enjoyed this all new experience at Ramen Champion, more options on top of just ramen and that salad bar is worth a return for!
