Hyang Yeon Restaurant @ Amoy Street

I was sold on their $13 set lunches which includes half portions of soup and hotplate meats. Queues are expected and unless reservations are made prior to 1230pm, expect a decent wait.

From the choice of soup to hotplate meat to side dishes and kimchi, there are plenty of choices to be made. If fickle is your middle name I would highly suggest not going at all.

Kimchi Stew, Grilled Chicken

Spicy Tofu Stew, Grilled Beef

Sides are not refillable and the dishes were considerably tasty though chicken was better than beef. Drinks are also included in the lunch set prices so that's a double win for me too!

Reasonably priced lunch options and with the best of both worlds, I am a fan! Do look out for snooty service though, the servers are not at their happiest nor cheeriest at all times.
